Thanks for telling me my opinion, buddy !

I recently read a Supernatural review where the reviewer stated that while he liked the storylines you couldn`t warm up to the characters.
Wow, the mind boggles. If I didn`t love these characters so much, I`d laugh some of the stories right off my TV screen.

Also he mentioned that while in need for a Supernatural show, surely audience would demand something more inventive and original like "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost"
Oh my, silly me, I`d never realized that DH is supposed to be a supernatural show. Well I guess that explains some of the otherworldly mysteries then, like why Susan isn`t getting beaten every episode for her annoying childishness, or why a mother of four still has model meassurements or how a spoiled trophy wife like Gabby would befriend people like Lynette and Susan in the first place.

As for the Lost-comment I`d like to introduce him to [livejournal.com profile] mareen to enlighten him on the subject what audiences would "surely demand".

I don`t have a problem with someone not liking this or any other show I favour but telling me what I would "surely" like better cracks me up. And not in a good way.

Maybe he could talk to [livejournal.com profile] xkatjafx and me together. We could hit him with the garden fence.

Yay, tag-teaming. And I`m guessing the garden fence is some reference to Season 2 of Lost ? which guessing by what I read so far I can expect to thouroughly suck.

Ah no... the fence-thing is going on since forever. Read it here: http://community.livejournal.com/lost_german/22086.html

A really fascinating and insightful thread. ^^

no, the garden fence is a reference to a discussion [livejournal.com profile] xkatjafx and me had with some Lost fans in a LJ community back during season 1.
In an early episode Sun started her garden. A few episodes before that they made a big deal out of the boars on the island.
[livejournal.com profile] xkatjafx and me were arguing that NO garden would survive the night with boars around, so if the writers were even trying to keep it real they should either have the characters build a garden fence or they should have the garden destroyed by boars by the next day. To this day, we are still waiting for the garden fence. The garden itself has by now been destroyed...by Sun's husband.

To me, the missing garden fence is an epitome of what has been wrong with Lost right from the beginning.

Wheee! Can I join you? Can I, can I? *bounce*

And then we can hunt them with the boars!

Of course, everybody is welcome to the hunt. Evil grin. *g*
