If you want something really, really bad...

Have decided to give up on Nanowrimo this year - am too hopelessly behind to manage the word-count in anything other but an exercise in stubbornly typing gibberish. Would have to delete about 20.000 words in editing anyway and that`s kinda not worth it and no fun. I simply didn`t have the necessary writing discipline in the first two weeks and it showed.
Next year then. Still, the failure stings a little as in such things I`m usually pretty ambitious. Sigh.

The story itself will probably still see the light of day - shorter - and hopefully better written than unnaturally bloated out to reach a magical word number.

Which means I can take up writing my unfinished projects. Might post something today to give myself additional prompting to finish soon. :)

Out of curiosity I`d entered Nanowrimo this year and boy, has it developed into an exorcise on madness. I mean, literally. I chose fanfic because I`m lazy and unimaginative and because I thought: hey, if I write 50.000 effing words, I wanna publish them in my lj later.

But now, I don`t know. Somewhere deep down is still the idea I like but the story has taken on a life of its own. It`s my idea of how Season 3 could go - myth-wise - only it seems to have left Planet Sanity three chapters ago. On the other hand, after a period of "no way in hell anyone will EVER see that", I might lightly edit it in December and then publish it to my LJ only for when anybody needs something to read while they`re on drugs. I think it could be awesome if you`re on drugs. *g*
