Matt Witten and Bed Edlund - redemption table for two. :)

Squee-dee-dee. That rocked.

Love for the continuity even though yeah, they really ARE screwed right now with their own personal Captain Ahab on their asses.

Loved Dean getting his flirt on and bonding with Ronald. Poor Ronald. I felt for him, he had put it together pretty well and it was obvious he was gonna do something about it. He said so himself.
Hee, one time Sam shirks the Captain Empathy mantle the guy gets killed. Sammy, don`t listen to your gut. It`s not working. ;-)

I cracked up at "This is NOT a robbery" Bang "Everyone down on the ground." *g* And then when he was all confused, what do you mean demands? Ha.

Liked the fangirling of Sherry in the vault and Sam`s eyeroll. Not the first time, eh Sam? :) But then Dean connecting with Ron in the bank and offering himself up was great.

Loved Sam`s "no, I don`t wanna babysit the incompetent hostage taker" and his defeated "Hi Ron". Teehee.

The phone-call rocked. Poor Dean, all these conflicting inputs about his Dad. He is mad at the guy but still loves and admires him. Very believable. And the Ackting rocked.

The FBI-agent was seriously scary because he obviously has them written off for monsters even though so far Sam registers as Bonnie to Dean`s Clyde. Hee.

Really enjoyed the shapeshifter back in "Skin" so it was a good monster to bring back. Suitably scary. At first I was confused as to why Dean called the guy out of the vault all suspiciously because hey? But he only had a close-range weapon and the shifter had obviously caught on that the brothers had caught on. So he might have taken a hostage himself and wouldn`t that have been funny? Didn`t mind that he threw Dean down because hey, superhuman strength.

Sherri was a bit weird because Sam stood there and cuddled real Sherri while Dean struggled to pin the superhumanly strong entity. Team-work? Guys? No? Okey-dokey. :)
In the end Dean won the fight so HA. Dean vs. Shapeshifter: Dean 2 - Shapeshifter 0.

Oh, and while the fainting was funny their little tiff over "who you gonna call" was annoying. Jared once again did this tick-motion with his forehead that I really don`t like. Otherwise I loved the little brotherness of "he did not fall for the puppy-eyes and Dean bonds with him, grumpf".
And come on, Dean would have been more wary too and not just "what the heck, I`ll stab this one". But that was the only serious misstep in this epi so I`ll let it slide.

When Sam took down the SWAT guys I knew what the ending was gonna be. Come on, people always escape like that in these situations. Jensen did so himself in the Dark Angel Series Finalé. :) I wondered more why Dean waited with Sherri`s corpse when he clearly heard SWAT incoming. Uh? Did he knew he was surrounded or what? And did he really not know that the 8 foot tall SWAT agent was his brother? *g*

Maybe the next song will be "I fought the law and the law won." *g*

Overall a really good offering with a nice mix of humor, action, gore and a seasoning of Winchester on top.

And the trailer for next week looks intriguing. I mean I know the twist and all but I`m curious to see how it`s gonna play out. Though it`s somewhat hilarious that "I killed people because God told me to" would foster a belief in GOOD. I mean it looked like a very nice cloud of ectoplasm there but the "Kill"-part should really be a big clue as to non-goodness.

Pfft, I watched very gritty wmv-files which took me four and a half hours to download. Now THAT is true pain. :)

But honestly this one is awesome. Not perfect but really, really good. So if I say this, it must mean something, right? ;-)

That's what I was thinking - and Max did it in season one, too :-p

That's the part that I took out of my not-really-a-review. *g* It seemed really off to me, as did Dean's wanting to kill Gordon in Hunted.

And did he really not know that the 8 foot tall SWAT agent was his brother? *g*

LOL I watched it twice and never even got that at all. I was completely and totally confused by this episode, especially from the point of the girl "twin" onward.

When Sam took down the SWAT guys I knew what the ending was gonna be. Come on, people always escape like that in these situations. Jensen did so himself in the Dark Angel Series Finalé. :)

LOL That he did, but I was still completely confused. I didn't even understand how Dean and Sam ended up in the SWAT outfits. *g* One minute Dean was being caught by the SWAT guy and the next time we see them, they're in the car. Uh...duh! *g* My brain really has turned off. I'm just getting too old, apparently. *g*

I thought so, too.

hehe True! *g*

Once I saw the police surrounding the outside I pretty much knew that`s how they were getting out. Then Sam took down the SWAT guys, I was like: okay, now he takes their gear and they will be found half-naked and bound in a closet later. Then Dean gets "caught" and again me going: "come on, we know it`s freaking Sam". So the ending was absolutely obvious to me but the music still made it cool.

But I have years and years of watching TV :) to thank for seldom really being surprised by such twists anymore. Have seen that particular trick too often to not know how it`s going.
I remember a couple of years back I was seeing "Sixth Sense" with friends at a cinema and I spoiled it for all of them when I blurted out "Come on, he is dead. Everybody knows that" about 30 minutes in. They hated me. *g*

hehe I think I just grew up in the 60s and 70s where there was no continuity whatsoever and things weren't expected to make sense. On The Odd Couple, the opening sequence for the first few seasons claimed that Felix and Oscar were "childhood friends." This was repeated in every single episode. *g* Later on, they had two different episodes about how they met! *g*

Then Dean gets "caught" and again me going: "come on, we know it`s freaking Sam".

Apparently everybody but me knew it was Sam. *g*

but the music still made it cool.

Hehe Even though I didn't have a clue what was going on, the music made everything cool. :-)

when I blurted out "Come on, he is dead. Everybody knows that" about 30 minutes in. They hated me. *g*

Bwah! I'm the one going, "Why did he do that? What did he say? Why is everyone running that way? Where did that car come from? What space ship? I didn't see a space ship."

I am not overly fond of action movies. *g* I prefer gentle character stories that don't have a lot of having to figure out who is where and why--like battle scenes and such. In a show like this where there are lots of people running here and there, it never makes sense to me. It looks like on Stargate where they literally are running down the same corridor over and over. *g* I can't keep track of everyone because they all start to look alike to me. *g* Even on Stargate, in scenes where they were not close-up and were running around and wearing hats or whatever, I often couldn't tell Daniel from Sam or Daniel from Jack or whatever--or anyone from anyone else. *g* I've been a military wife for over 26 years, but all the guys in uniform still look alike to me--even my husband. *g*

In this episode of SPN, I didn't recognize the blonde woman who turned out to be the shapeshifter as Sherry from the vault. I figured it out quickly, but I didn't know just from looking at her. I thought it was a different blonde woman.

I also thought the bodies wearing underwear in the closet looked exactly like Sam and Dean--and I thought they were dead. lol So then when Sam and Dean were in the car, wearing the SWAT team uniforms, I just went, WTF? *g*

I also never saw Sam take out the SWAT team guys. I remember him getting into a tussle with them, but don't recall him taking them down completely, so I didn't guess how that ended and then I was completely distracted by the fact that Sam and Dean were dead--and I knew it couldn't be the real Sam and Dean. *g*

I'm just hopeless. *g*

For me it almost becomes a game to predict what`s the what and what`s gonna happen. Like connect the dots. Maybe it`s because I used to watch an insane amount of thrillers and dedective stories when I was little. Of course my Mom mostly already knew who the killer was and she taunted me with "it`s so obvious, come on, there was a clue". So I had to become a regular Sherlock Holmes to defend my honour. :)

And now I`m stuck in that mode. In catastrophy or slasher movies I always try to predict who dies next and how and who will survive etc and usually I`ll try to figure out the plot beforehand. And since movies are remarkably similar that makes it easier.

hehe I'm like that with character pieces. I am totally not good with that (obviously) as far as action movies and things like that, but I'm better at figuring out character motivations and that sort of thing.

When I used to read aloud to my kids, I was like your mom, in that I would often stop and ask my kids what they thought, what they thought would happen next and why--that sort of thing. I didn't taunt them, though. *g* We just had fun conversations--fun for me, anyway. *g* There were no right or wrong answers, either, with that sort of thing, but it was always fun comparing what we thought might happen with what actually did happen. It was also a way of making sure the kids were paying attention and making sure they understood what was going on. *g*

I really, really suck and figuring out who's doing what in an action movie or following which car is which in a car chase or something like that. I've never been into horror or action, but I loved detective books and TV shows when I was young--more like Perry Mason and every cop or detective show that was on during the 70s. *g*

My mom has a mean sense of humor. When I was about 4 or so she told me I was adopted which I know for a fact is not true (well first she had to explain the word to me) because she thought it would be fun to rattle me and see my reaction. I guess my grandparents reaction about it was not so fun after I told them. ;-) She still thinks it was hilariously funny. Sigh.

So taunting me over movies was peanuts for her. :)

Sometimes I`m in the mood for action movies and if it doesn`t get too confusing I usually have a good handle on what`s happening. If it gets too much I just turn off my brain and enjoy the explosions. *g*

That's how I usually watch Supernatural--except I enjoy the pretty and the angst. *g*
