Oh my, when it comes to our cats, I`m really down on my luck lately. *sigh*

Had to bury a kitten today, not even 3 weeks old and pretty much just a tiny ball of fluff.
And the worst part, I found it in the cathouse, practically butchered. Which means the older kittens probably did it. Now I feel terrible for letting the poor thing stay there but honestly I had no inkling such a thing would happen. It never has before with multi-generations. And the older kittens usually ignored the little guy.
God, I hope it didn`t suffer and went quick. It really chokes me up to think otherwise. *sob*

Thank you. I pray it didn`t suffer because it was literally ripped apart and I feel so, so bad for putting it in the cathouse. But that just has never happened before. I was horrified when I discovered the poor animal today.

That's just...horrible. I, too, hope that poor kitten didn't suffer too much...sorry for you, too, that you had to see that, really am.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I heard of male apes doing stuff like that, but I didn't know cats would do it, too.

Thanks. Certainly it was the male kittens but they didn`t show such an aggressive behaviour to the smaller kitten. Otherwise I would have kept them separated. They were really brutal with it and I hope they killed it right away. :(

Thanks. I`m a big softie when it comes to small furry animals, especially the babies. And I`m such a cat person while mostly scared of dogs.

I love cats and dogs, but I'm not really a softy with them. I do want a cat in the near future...but where I grew up animals were mostly livestock and you didn't get too much emotionally attached.

Since I grew up in an rural area we used to have more lifestock when I was little. I remember pig-riding. :) And of course said pigs went on to become sausages later so I was used to that.
But whenever an animal has to die, I hope it`s quick. I don`t want them to suffer.

Our cats are mostly out-door, not that cuddly with humans and I have this nagging fear they view me as nothing but a walking tool to open their cans of catfood. And sometimes they grudginly prostitute themselves for the food and let me pet them.
I always have a soft spot for the kittens, especially when they are still a bit wobbly and their eyes are all blue. Too cute.
