astri13I wasn't particularly bothered (or surprised) to learn that The Secret Circle has been cancelled. Though I probably would have watched Season 2 because I felt the premise of the show had potential. In fact, I was surprised that the show made so very little out of it. Often, it just explored the most mundane and bland "stories" when much more exciting set-ups seemed right there.
Then I read what would have been plans for a possible Season 2. And now the reasons have become abundantly clear to me: the showrunner really has NO instinct for storytelling. Like none whatsoever. He seems all gleefull over character-developments that seems to come right out of "creatively broke R us".
In which case, cancellation is just as well.
