Nimueh will turn out to be Arthur's mother?
They aren't historically correct anyway so it doesn't have to be Igraine.
She is conspicously absent and believed dead.
Uther obviously has a past with her.
"Shall we tell Arthur about her?" Tell him what? If she was just a powerful sorceress that is their enemy, why be so secret?
They make a big case out of her not killing Arthur with her own hands. It gave Uther the best clue as to who she was. And she did look a bit conflicted in that one "gaze in the well" scene.
Also I could see some similarity in the actors' likenesses.
In other news we had sacrificing "I'll drink it" "No, I will" , carrying - why not bridal style?, a noble quest to save his servant's life - which Morgana's nice words notwithstanding, even the noblest of kings likely wouldn't do without a personal motivation, Merlin calling out for Arthur in his (sick)bed "faster, go faster", pride Arthur offering himself up for the stocks for a month - wow.
Those two supersede canon and have entered Mega-cannon territory.
