So, there are good ways to poke fun at your character, see X-Files "Bad Blood" and bad ways, see Angel "Girl in question". This was definitely of the GOOD.
Bobby continues to rock my world, his WTF-faces and how he spoke to them as you would to extremely pouty 5 year olds. Hilarious.
Even though he was a murderous bastard I have to agree a little bit with Dean on the Trickster. The slow-dancing alien did have style. :)
The boys and their little feud - they really are a married couple. *g* Also "Brothers on a hotel bed", wrestling nonetheless. Or was that spooning? Foreplay? :-p
Their views of each other and of themselves was hilarious. Dean sees Sam is the prissiest emo-bitch who ever emo-ed and himself as "Winchester, Dean Winchester". Sam sees Dean as a gluttonous horndog and himself as a dedicated researcher. Hee. Well they`re both kinda right and wrong there.
ChipmunkDean was both cute and worrying. It looked downright painful. Kudos to Jensen for going goofball all the way. And I loved Jared`s little face after Bobby told him Dean didn`t steal his computer, it was so little boy: "but..but..." Also his hilarious face after EmoSam hugged that college kid and Dean told him it was okay. Btw, that kid rocked the WTF-look too and the glances toward Dean aka "save me from the crazy giant".
The slow-mo kiss was really hot, even though I found the one with the crossroads Demon hotter. And Sam`s "bla bla bla..." Hee. I kinda expected Sam to play the jilted gay lover to cock-block Dean. *g*
The ending was a bit rushed and why did they think staking would do the trick? Also they build up a history of the baddies getting away, first "Playhings", now this. Ts ts.
But did the Trickster have a thing for Dean or what? :)
The almost apology was great, Bobby`s reaction was better: "STFU, this is not the time for Emo."
All in all it was nice to see the mundane little annoyances of daily life adressed. And the transition between Uberangst of BUABS and this one worked for me. Obviously a bit time has passed and I`m guessing they had their emo-moments there.
Solid standalone that really brought the funny.
Next time: Tricia Helfer. Woohoo. Though it did look kinda like "Benders" from the trailer. Wonder what the MotW really is. Sadly we`ll have to wait a while to find out but I`m kinda glad they moved it out of the way of Idol. Which I hope gives a good beating to "Soap`s Anatomy" that day.
Hopefully ratings won`t be too bad today. Still prays for 3 Million.
