Not the most squee-y topic but I felt heartened by it: our final ratings went UP a teensy bit. Last three eps they always went down in the finals. And apparently even after cancellation announcement the OC doesn`t grab. Well, me no complainy. :) We`re regularly beating them in the metered markets anyway. :-P

1. - 3,93 Mio
2. - 3,34
3. - 3,78
4. - 3,29
5. - 3,65
6. - 3,38
7. - 3,19
8. - 3,16
9. - 3,12
10.- 3,24

Looks to me like we may have crawled out of the slump after "No Exit". *cough* Though to be fair that was also around the time "Scrubs" aired in that spot and they took a heavy hit out of our viewers and demo.

Secondly it might be a good idea to get some more Buffy/Angel-people to guest star. They do tend to have a loyal fan-gathering. I know a lot of people just checking out "Bloodlust" for Amber Benson.
I`d predict some ratings boost if Eliza were to guest. Futile hope I know but still.

I can't pretend to understand the ratings numbers, but...yay! *g* If you say it's good news, I'll believe you. :-)

Not quite on topic, but [livejournal.com profile] kres pointed out that Katharine Isabelle (Ava) was the girl who pulled the sword from the stone on SG-1 (season 9) and [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt noticed that Scott's father was played by Tom McBeath (Maybourne from SG-1), and I just can't believe I didn't even recognize him.

Well, they aren`t the greatest ratings ever - last year on the Tuesday slot we pulled in about 4,5-5 Mio viewers but for the Thursday slot of death it`s holding up quite well, so far never dipping below 3 Mio. I would think that they`d reschedule next Season to another night and then maybe we can gain again.

Maybourne? Hey now that you say it I see it too but didn`t notice either. And I just remembered Katherine Isabelle from Ginger Snaps and a guest stint on Smallville. Had forgotten the SG1 thing. Hee, the Canadian actor pool. A friend and me joked about the boys being somewhere in the woods and stumbling upon the SGA crew. :)

I don't know what "Mio viewers" are. *g*

A while back someone made a silly vid about that except it didn't include the SPN crew because that show wasn't around yet. It wasn't a music vid, but more like animated photos. As far as I remember, it included SG-1, SGA, and the new (not) BSG. They all met up in the woods and were arguing over whose turn it was to use the woods that day. *g* It was rather amusing.

Oh *faceplam* Mio is the German shortening of Million. So it`s x million viewers. :)

Hee! And now here I was thinking it was some special television ratings term that I'd never heard before. *g* Thanks for explaining.

better ratings are good. muchly good.

ratings confuse me but considering that greys/csi take like 20 some million each plus scrubs takes some too, im glad with what we have. that and also considering that the cw never promotes us really and that smallville is definitely sucking lately too.

I think they picked up a bit on the promotion front. I mean the Johnny Cash promo rocked. Sadly in this spot there is not much room for growth. The dinosaurs CSI and Grey`s just take too much viewers. While Scrubs and the OC have some crossover audience with us. *sigh*

Hopefully next Season we`ll get a better schedule. As last Season proved the show has the potential to draw in about 5 Mio viewers regularly.
For now I`ll hope we keep the steady core over 3 Mio, maybe get a bit closer to 4 Mio again, especially in February sweeps.
