Some more "one sentence or less" TV ramblings this week:

Elementary 1.03 - great episode but highly disturbing IMO

Arrow 1.02 - seriously love Oliver in all of his angsty broodiness

Person of Interest 2.03 - Awwww

The Vampire Diaries 4.02 - missing Ripper!Stefan and not!Stelena soooo much

Supernatural 8.03 - not too happy about faux Season 1 tension, stop that

Beauty and the Beast 1.02 - still not entirely terrible, though glad pushy!Cat might be done

Haven 3.05 - Nathan, Nathan, Nathan *shakes head*

lol Me, too.

Haven 3.05 - Nathan, Nathan, Nathan *shakes head*

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be creeped out of turned on by the way he used the kiss to play her.

lol Me, too.

I don`t know what it is because while I think the guy is good-looking in a general sense, I`m not really that attracted to him but character-wise? I really love him lots so far.

And noone really seems to allow for even the slightest transition period in either expecting him to be a totally new man (which he is but not in the way they think or realize, even though some of it should be obvious, no matter how bi-polar he acts) or slipping right back into careless playboy mode. The only one who seems to get an inkling is Diggle, the bodyguard.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be creeped out of turned on by the way he used the kiss to play her.

It`s definitely a very slippery slop he is on. And considering that he knows what the kiss would mean to someone like her, it`s way worse than the jailbreak aiding. It would be like Audrey randomely touching him to manipulate or play with him and he knows very well he`d be devastated if that happened.

Then again, it`s not different in ruthlessness than Audrey using Duke`s troubles two episodes ago.

Right now ironically the "bad boy" seems to be the only one who tries his damnedest to be nothing but good. Poor thing must be terrified of his destiny. *pets him*

Yeah, same here. He looks way too generic, and I don't really find him attractive. But the character is written wonderfully, so I forgive them the strange casting. Who knows, the actor might grow on me over the season...

As for Nathan: What he's doing is pretty horrible, and I think he knows it's horrible. The way he's behaving, he seems to be ashamed of himself. But he loves Audrey, and would do anything to be able to keep her. What I find interesting - and sad - is that Audrey seems to either not see his desperation or choses to ignore it because she somehow believes it will make it easier for both of them.
And if you think about it, both of them seem to be doing exactly what is expected of them by TPTB (whoever they are).
Audrey is prepared to vanish pretty much without a fight.
Nathan is joining the group he was supposed to join.
The way they are doing this, it will just continue the circle in my opinion.
At the moment, Duke seems to be the only one still on the right track, and I believe in the end it will be up to him to make them stop.

Of course, I'm pretty sure that sooner or later, Nathan's new friends will tell im to kill Duke...

I don`t really have a problem with him now, he cant pull off all the nuances I believe the character is supposed to have but the pained and somber part, he can do well and that is what draws me in anyways. :) But it`s definitely the writing that makes the character here.

What I find interesting - and sad - is that Audrey seems to either not see his desperation or choses to ignore it because she somehow believes it will make it easier for both of them.

I think she has withdrawn to such a degree that she doesn`t truly see all of it. I mean, she called him on getting in with the guard initially and that he didn`t have to do it for her but in the end she bought his obvious lies and they used to be too attuned to each other to pull that off.

Of course, I'm pretty sure that sooner or later, Nathan's new friends will tell im to kill Duke...

Me too. And I`m so hoping for a happy end here.

Well, he is the one who found the box with the "love conquers all" inscription so hopefully he can use that when the chips are really down.

Did he actually see that inscription? I thought he only saw "Crocker". I don't think he ever saw "Love conquers all". So he'll have to figure it out himself.

Oh, I thought he did but now I`m not sure. Drat. Well, like you said, he needs to figure it out then. And atm, he is on a good road to do so IMO.

I think he was about to be able to see it, but his wife kissed him and he looked away at the exact moment the inscription showed. I don't remember him ever trying the light on it again after that.

Did he actually see that inscription?

Yes, he did. :) It was in Latin (Omnia vincit amor) and when they found it in Sparks and Recreation (2.04), Evie read it out loud and Duke translated it. The text was engraved and visible without the black light.

The Vampire Diaries 4.02 - missing Ripper!Stefan and not!Stelena soooo much

I haven't been able to bring myself to start watching this season. I am still in mourning over Alaric, my favorite character, and I really have no interest in vampire!Elena... *sad*

Haven 3.05 - Nathan, Nathan, Nathan *shakes head*

This entire season so far has been a single session of me "Nathan"ing and headshaking at him.

Watch the second episode then, at least the ending. ;)

I know. Hopefully they have a plan to conclude this thing in a satisfying manner. *wibble*

Is this the ghost thing? Because I am not enthusiastic about the ghost thing. :-/ (I know, difficult to please, me...)

YES PLEASE. It does seem that they're not going off into a direction I would hate so far - Duke is staying on course, and being his usual tough-shell-sweet-core, tortured, unhomicidal Duke-self. But they're really leaving him out to dry, here. Not even Audrey seems prepared to just give the poor guy a hug or some kind words, for heaven's sake.

Right now I'm just frustrated that Duke is still such a great guy after the life he's led, and nobody is acknowledging it or giving him *anything* - and with his poor self-esteem, general isolation and lousy circumstances coming together, something's bound to explode at some point.

Yup, pretty much. Unless you count Damon not letting anyone sit in the chair beside him at the grill because "seat is taken". I found that pretty heartwarming, too.

I know. I mean, Audrey is a little bit better but also pre-occupied right now. And Duke is trying soooo hard at the moment. It made me really happy when Dwight warmed up to him in ep 2, was it?

But it`s giving me serious Lex-flashbacks right now. :/
