The following dialogue was heard when I took my car in yesterday for a routine inspection:

Repair dude: "OMG, those brakes are done for, how does this car even come to a stop anymore?"
Me, imagining all those serpentine roads I have to drive on to get to work: "..."

He showed them to me, too (standing UNDER your car up on the auto hoist is kind of creepy) and they really were rusty and jiggled in ways I don't think they are supposed to jiggle. O-kay.

Now there goes money I wanted to save up for next year's vacation. Sigh.

Real life sucks :-P

But hey, at least it didn't take you getting in an accident to find out how bad they are! I for one am very glad you're safe :) ::HUGS::

Look at it this way. If you didn't get them fixed you may not have been around to take a vacation the next time. Sucks I know but it had to be done.

Echoing the others in saying at least you didn't need to get your bones fixed (or worse) due to some accident. In the end it's just money, dude...
