The following dialogue was heard when I took my car in yesterday for a routine inspection:
Repair dude: "OMG, those brakes are done for, how does this car even come to a stop anymore?"
Me, imagining all those serpentine roads I have to drive on to get to work: "..."
He showed them to me, too (standing UNDER your car up on the auto hoist is kind of creepy) and they really were rusty and jiggled in ways I don't think they are supposed to jiggle. O-kay.
Now there goes money I wanted to save up for next year's vacation. Sigh.

Thanks. *hugs back* I was feeling a bit iffy retroactively, imagining how I had merrily driven along with faulty brakes. But oh well, now they're fixed and I'm good to go again.

Date: 2012-04-12 07:30 pm (UTC)That would have definitely sucked a lot more so yeah, I've made my peace with it. Was just in a bit of a whiny mood this morning. :D
