I'm actually be a litte bit interested in where The Secret Circle goes next but only to see if they'll really be so dreadfully dull as to actually make Faye the second Blackwell kid in the circle, what with the oh-so-subtle-sledgehammer-clues of Dawn having a crush on Blackwell and probably pushing poor, old Granddad out of her life because she totally cheated on his son.
If a show is THAT obvious and then makes a big cliffhanger reveal of "oh, Cassie has a step-sibling", I'd expect them to mix it up somewhat and have the sibling be any of the other kids. This show, might just be straightlaced enough to go through with it being Faye. In which case, why not have witchhunter Martouf say at the end that it was Faye? Why keep it a seeeeecreeeeeet? Oh please, like that clue bus didn't flatten every viewer on sight.
In case, they really wanna go nuts, it should be Adam. Would explain their connection, neatly free him up for Diana again and her for Jake. Not that I'm invested in either of these pairings but show seems to want to push them, if mostly in a schizophrenic way.

Date: 2011-11-12 11:19 am (UTC)That said, this show is weird anyways, the Cassie character and probably the Jake character have potentially interesting material but those two actors can't act to save their lifes. I giggled when Jake was trying to convey "conflict", "love", "anger" and "heartbreak", pretty much with the same never-changing expression. And Cassie just opens her eyes really wide and that's it in terms of "acting".
So, they write for the people who can't act and don't write for the people who can. Which means as a result all the characters are flat.

So the actress did what every half-assed actress would do: Look left, then right, then left again, sigh and leave stage. If it wouldn't be so sad...
I have no idea how the same people who cast Nina Dobrev also cast this girl.

Maybe it's like "ein blindes Huhn..."
