Muhahaha

This week's Merlin was surprisingly

I say surprisingly because I kinda dreaded another Arthur/Gwen ep. And I'm not even a "death to that pairing" person, I have enjoyed brief moments between them but on the whole their sudden rousing love (minus chemistry) has been built up as believably to me as Morgana's lightswitch muhahaha evil.

Speaking of, Merlin and Morgana's little counter-espionage attempts were hugely funny for some reason. Granted, Morgana's six millionth "subtle" smirk that noone but Merlin ever seems to catch grates but at least those two can be honest. And I could just kiss Merlin for bringing up something that I wanted to ask of Morgana, namely what did Arthur and Gwen ever do to you.

Predictably, Morgana deflected on what Merlin did to her and yes, I see why it sullied her ideas on friendship but this still doesn't answer the question of her manic hatred of people who haven't harmed her. Also good god, could she not wait to have Arthur killed.

Gwen's brother also was surprisingly cool. I had expected something else from the previews.

So, Arthur and Merlin being thrown into a prison cell by Cenred. Haha, the fic writes itself.

Btw, I like Cenred as a character - even though his gestures/demeanor are a bit too flamboyant occasionally - but I would like him more if he wasn't so hung up on Morgause. Because Morgause's one note muhahaha-ing strikes me in the same way Morgana's does. With boredom.

In a way this episode was a cruel riff on "Moment of Truth" - the main four ride out to a rescue mission. Compare back then with now. Ouch.

And poor Arthur, hope he finds out about Morgana soon. He should be getting at least ONE secret. I was glad he got to be a bit more competent in this ep, though. At least it didn't feel like Merlin saved them at every corner.

Also, Merlin, let me take this opportunity to tell you: you IDIOT. Maybe you didn't want to do it but you could have solved the Morgana problem two episodes ago. I give him maybe two or three episodes of half-hearted attempts to "stop" her before he has to try and kill her for realz. *headdesk*

Still, all in all, a fun romp.

Next week, does it look like Arthur learns about Morgana? Pretty please. I hate the undercover spy storyline.

Also, a tiny note on SPN Season 6 - it's another surprisingly - so far, it doesn't suck half as badly as I thought it would. Of course, we're only a quarter in so I'm not counting my chickens yet. But for the most part, I have been entertained.
I'd be quite happy to get entire episodes of vamp!Dean (or regular!Dean, I'm not picky) hacking his way through various monsters with a machete. Afterwards, Lisa or Cas (or both) can massage him. Seriously, I'd happily watch a Season of just that. Yum.

Anything is more or less okay with me because I don't care enough (or at all) about it. Indifference makes for more pleasant viewing some times.

I heard that it was good, bnut then again I still liked Bobby in season four, though I didn't see 5x19 - 5x22. It's not like I consciously chose not to watch them, I just forgot *shrugs*

Ah, Sam. They should've shot you in the head in season four and left the show to Dean and...Dean. Or Dean and Castiel. Seriously, I'm so done with Sam it's ridiculous. And Jared's so-called acting--I seriously could not take any of his scenes serious in season 5. I just started laughing whenever he was on screen. Except for that early episode where he worked at the bar. The rest was just grunting and huffing. Sorry. I don't mean to harsh your semi-squee. I do miss this show a lot, otherwise I wouldn't care so much *sigh*

I was mostly done with him after the Season 4 Finale and then in Season 5 he just whined a lot about himself but god forbid others claimed that right as well. I hate hypocrites.

Oh no worries. The last time this show made me squee was in "The End". Or possibly Changing Channels. Since then it's mostly been a donwhill slope. However seeing as I had feared the episodes would make me vomit, being occasionally entertained and bored is already a success.

Seriously, I'm so done with Sam it's ridiculous.

I'm mostly indifferent. In Season 4 I was angry at the character but also excited for the potential of redemption. Which they then completely bumblefucked in Season 5. So nowadays, I know what's coming so who cares when or how they're gonna put the great big reset button in the sky on the character? As long as Dean is more or less left alone by it, I'm good.

Oops, I meant season 5. I still liked him in season 5. *shrugs* I didn't think he was that much of a hypocrit, and Dean got to tell him off, so...yeah.

Seriously, Changing Channels? I liked Dean's and Castiel's cheesy "You don't love me!" fight when Castiel beat Dean up. Yay. That's actually as far as I watched.

Hm, maybe it's just because I've pretty much lost all respect for Jared that I ever had.

EDIT: Watching Merlin now. I did watch next week's trailer first and it looks angsty :D

Seriously, Changing Channels?

I have a soft spot for Gabriel. *sniff*

I liked Dean's and Castiel's cheesy "You don't love me!" fight when Castiel beat Dean up.

It was a bit too much/too brutal for my taste but maybe this is just due to the incessant "Dean gets beat to a pulp" thing they got going in nearly every episode in the final parts of Season 5. Had something of watching a Lifetime movie about an abused woman. Yuck.

I wouldn't know. I only watched up to 5x18 :-)
