Damnit, cat has not shown himself today at all. Now, it's not as cold as the last few days but the wind makes it feel much colder, and the snow is getting ever deeper, so I'm worried for him. Usually, he shows up at his lunch time around 6 p.m. or so and starts meowing loudly.

He is not in the shed in his "bed" and maybe he is curled up somewhere at our neighbours but I'd really like to get a life sign from him about now. Hm. *frets*

ETA: Aaaaand he is back. Phew.

Great news! I think maybe he hid somewhere near your house and waited to be sure someone's home?

I don't know. He usually goes by when he sees light so I left it on for hours. I think he might have a secret other place somewhere because I saw his little paw-prints in the snow coming from further back.

Huh, might be. Or he found a love of his life, you know :) And had a date.

*fingers crossed* Cats are pretty smart so hopefully he's just holed up somewhere warmish and he'll come home as soon as he's bored or hungry, whichever comes first.

Mine is pretty hilarious. He keeps asking to go out but when I open the door, he sticks his nose out and then looks at me like "this is disgusting. what are you going to do about it?" then stalks back in. It's hilarious.

Anyway I hope your kitty turns up soon. *hugs*

Thanks, he came back just now and is now warming up on the heater. :)

Yup, mine does that, too. He'll sit in front of the door until we go downstairs and I open the outside door and when he sees it's still ice-cold and snowy, he turns and flees back upstairs. *g*

Cats do have an amazing ability to find warm and dry spots. When I had indoor/outdoor cats, they had a talent for showing up at the door with three drops on them in the middle of a downpour. LOL I'm glad your cat is safe and warm!

That's true, they have a talent for that. :D

Thanks. He is now comfortably positioned himself on my lap - comfortable for him, that is, not so much for me. *g*
