I've seen a lot of people reminiscing about their Year 2009 so I'll lemming along a bit but try to keep it :

The biggest change was that I started my new job in March and since my contract has been extended will be at it till the end of next year. It's not a bad job at all, the hours are good and the work itself varies from really challenging to really simplistic - not that bad a mixture. The atmosphere is good and my colleagues are nice. The one thing that sucks, and will undoubtedly get a LOT worse next year, is the upper management's obsession with statistics, numbers and our quota to fill. Sigh.
It took me some time to get used to the new daily rhythm but I think I managed. Took me no time at all to get used to the steady paycheck. :)

In my personal life I'm still single and happily so. If only I could convince my colleagues, who live for matchmaking, of that. Now one of my new colleagues has admitted to a crush on me, I'm afraid they'll redouble their efforts. Eek.

Fandom-wise, it's still basically Supernatural and Merlin while I kept up watching with all my older shows: House, Bones, NCIS, Big Bang, Criminal Minds. The only new ones I picked up are spin-offs: NCIS-LA which I will keep and SGU which I'll likely drop. Oh, and of course I re-picked Legend of the Seeker. There are a couple shows I'm interested in but somehow taking up new ones for my to-watch-list wouldn't go well this year's lament and next year's goals. i

Sad-making are the facts that I couldn't finish one single fic this year. I started but literally couldn't for various personal issues I don't want to go into now. To go with that I had to drop a lot of challenges which made me feel bad. This is a poor result for a whole year.

I also didn't read besides fanfic, not one single book. I used to read 3 or so a week. Again, sad-making.

So, that's what my New Year's Resolutions are going to be:

1. Read more actual books. Since I work better if I set myself some specific goal - a reachable one, not like at work - I'll put the number at at least 30.
2. Finish ALL the fanfics I started, hopefully put some of my new ideas into work but we'll see.
3. Encompassing both, learn to manage my time more effectively. Which I do know can be done.

And to all you guys on my flist: I wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!!

You've kept busy in RL with your work, hopefully the management's obsession will be easy to deal with. And so will be co-worker's crush. :P

I've started reading books again 2 months ago after a 2 years break due to intense fanfic reading and it's so satisfying to come back to books! It makes me appreaciate reading even more now. I'm sure it will be the same for you!

And happy new year 2010 to you too!
