Work has been crazy lately and I have been a lot less spendy so I wanted to reward myself with a "nostalgia" DVD. Looking around, I have to wonder: what the fuck did they do with the "master tapes" of Scarecrow and Mrs.King? Throw them in acid? Every other show, every single one, I remember watching from that time as a kid has at least one Season out by now. Some from way before.

Why in the heavens does it work for all of them and not Amanda and Lee? All those shows were produced roughly in the same years and back then there wasn't exactly such a thing as different formats so how can one be so unfit to remaster while all the others aren't? I KNOW it is not because of lack of interest in it. I know that. WTF?

Or is it really about legal issues? Because, dude, again, every single other show makes it. Bah.

LOL! I thought I was the only one who constantly checks DVD racks for Scarecrow and Mrs. King. I think that was my first t.v. obsession. *sigh* And they used to show daily episodes on a cable channel here, but they changed all their programming. So now, nothing. I have a few eps on tape, but they're random and not very high quality.

I've been thinking the same. CONSTANTLY.

Seriously, that was my first ever favourite "actual" tv show. I WANT IT.

By the way, even RIPTIDE is out on DVD by now.

I have given up in despair of ever having this released on DVD.

What I'd heard is it was a legal tangle about who owns the show -- Warner Bros. or Shoot-the-Moon Enterprises (Kate Jackson's own production company). So there's a hold up.

When that show was on I didn't know what fanfiction was and had no computer and nobody I knew had internet access, but SMK was pretty much my first full-on, crazy-obsessive fandom love.

I think it's the legal issues. I mean, The Sentinel isn't out on DVD either - S1 is but that's it - because of legal issues between the various companies.

Well, at least Kung Fu: TLC is coming out on DVD next month - in Germany! I'll be getting that for sure!
