Three quick thoughts on

OMG, they are stranded in deep space with Ralph the Bricassart.

God help us all. And yes, I notice the irony. :-p

Also, was that...slash? With Sgt. Furious and Ralph?

I repeat, God help us all.

And, all the people on that ship - who were all people specially selected to work on a super-secret military base on a super-important project - are unqualified dumbnuts? Every single one of them?

God help them all.

Oh, you mean the Pilot? Because I have babbled at length about that one, as well. It was just too much faux BSG. See the darkness and the characters and the shaky camera work. Only BSG is an entirely different show than Stargate, they have a completely different feel to them and IMO you can't mix that.

Other than the one military guy who took over when the other one was injured no one seemed remotely appealing at all. I can't even remember any names except Eli, which is not good after watching something for two hours.

The young miliatry guy is Scott and in episode 2 (or is it 3 after a two-hour Pilot?) we find out that his backstory comes straight from the Thornebirds. Eek.

I'll probably keep watching out of sheer boredom but I'm not sure how long.
