Totally non-sequitur here but recently I rewatched the Pilot and noticed something: the Woman in White`s spiel about how she can never go home was on John`s voice-mail so she was very close, in his backseat maybe? And her M.O. was killing unfaithful men, right? So either he had some way to protect himself so he could make a nice call to his son with a murderous ghost nearby or he didn`t fit her victim-profile. I`d believe it. :) And it would put the kibosh on some recent Season 2 speculation. ;)

And yes, I`m still obsessed and proud of it. : P
Also, I KNOW the most probable explanation is that the writers didn`t think anything of it. :)

Hmmm actually I've been thinking the same thing for months (the John-must-have-been-unfaithful-thing) but I thought I was being last as always and didn't mention it :-p

Then again, Sam wasn't unfaithful either...

But she knew he would be. Maybe she could read John`s aura or something and thought: "Boy, that guy is even more crazy-obsessed than I am" and let him go. :P

Or she read the future and thought "Oh boy, he's almost going to kill his son, that's more fun than me killing him off now" :-)

Hee. I can totally see her hugging him: "You poor, poor man. Good luck and godspeed." and hauling ghost-ass out of there. :) After all she knows about killing your own children when you aren`t quite yourself.

"You poor, poor man. Good luck and godspeed."

*rolls on floor laughing*

"God, and I thought *I* had problems. Rather puts your restless spirit-existence into perspective."

Aw...I'd rather he did fit her victim profile. LOL Besides he wouldn't really have been unfaithful, Mary was dead. It's not unfaithful to have sex with someone else when your spouse is dead. :D Just like Sam hadn't been unfaithful but she decided he would be. Clearly WiW just took any excuse to use for a killing. :D

Or the writers just weren't thinking at the time. ;)

Well, it is rather unbelievable that he wouldn`t fit the profile, I admit. :) Although I do think he remained faithful in his heart.
But as you said, the WiW seemed pretty trigger-happy anyway. In fact when I first watched the Pilot and she told Sam: "You will be" and tried to kill him, I thought: "Hey, that`s cheating. Come on, give him a chance, woman." *g*

Or the writers just weren't thinking at the time. ;)

Very probably, which should go for Insta-Dawn and racist killer trucks too because if someone had to think this up, it would be sad indeed.

Or he felt he was being unfaithful, even though she's dead. I can imagine John doing that. :)

Hey, you, totally off topic myself today:

THANK YOU A LOT for providing me with Supernatural. Now I just have to wait till my bf is coming so that I can watch the eps on his laptop (don't have dvd-runner on my pc).
Unfortunately the Veronica M. eps also have to wait till then - my brothers pc, which is able to read dvds, had a major crash last week and he wasn't able to rebuilt it properly.

So please apologize!

No prob. Does it not take the CD at all? Because the eps itself should play with Media Player or something.

Oh, and do comment when you watched something, either if good or bad. :)

No worries about VM. I have a lot of stuff still on my to-watch-list or even my to-do list to keep my occupied for weeks.
