Jensen is a hottie - yeah, real surprise there :)

Jensen has made the 100 Hottest list atAfterelton.com which I understand to be voted for by gay fans of actors/musicians/athletes.
Interestingly he has made the jump from spot 35 last year to 13 this year. Go Jensen. :)

I wonder if his role in Ten Inch Hero contributed to it? Some photoshoots? Or has the show drawn more attention? I would find it curious because Season 3 has gotten a lot of explicit criticism for the gay jokes (as well as sexism etc).

There are some big name actors who dropped off a few spots and I`d think it was because they didn`t have a big movie out in the last year, thus fading in attention a little bit. Whereas other actors made the list/climbed higher because of the reverse? For example John Barrowman went from 10th place last year to almost winning this year presumably because Torchwood put him more out there for people to notice.
Then again some guys dropped really badly (Taye Diggs, Matthew McConaughey) so I wonder why that is. Have they suddenly become so much un-hotter to the voters?

What cracked me up was one guy from a German soap making it on the list. Do people in the US watch "Verbotene Liebe/Forbidden Love"? Because hey, my grandmother loved that show. *g*
Of course some choices elude me too as I find T.R.Knight to be as sexy as yoghurt.

Huh? It's strange but i never heard something about explicit criticism for the gay jokes from my gay griends. Funny but they understand that sort of humor well and it never bother them. It's straight women who always look for something to defend find them offensive...

I think that`s true. And there is certainly a point of oversensitivity in fandom. Myself, it hasn`t bothered me on a political correctness scale but I like my jokes to be sprinkled out, not make a running gag. Same with the eating thing, way cuter before the overuse.

Maybe it depends on the view of the person cos for me they never overuse gay joke thing - it's not that often and i'd say straight men here use them way often then our boys. So for me it's ok. As to eating 'problem' i see it as inside joke - more like fun for fun for one minute to relax when they can so for me it's ok too. See? In this show they use so much drama and angst (and right to use them) that every moment they can use something else even simple as eating - they grab and use, otherwise people complain that there's too much tears. They just try to balance things. Maybe not always aptly but at least they try.
