I keep seeing this "finally we know" on boards about the Jared/Sandy engagement announcement, and it cracks me up a bit. I mean did people wait with baited breath? :) I wish them all the best but I`m not really invested in actor`s relationships/personal lives either way. Especially if one part of the couple isn`t in any projects I`m interested in. So yeah, they`re a cute couple and it`s nice they`re happy but that`s about it for me.
Nor does it take away from the J2 for me. One is fiction (as much as I know) and one is reality.

Although I wish our fiction was reality.

Hee. Thank you. J2 might just mind a bit if they suddenly found themselves trapped in the Bronze Age though. *g*

I think they would find it um.... educational. They are both very intelligent I'm sure they would look at it as broadening their horizons.

But, you know, good for them. :) I'm just not squeeing or anything. :)

Me neither. Sure, I wish them happiness and everything but it`s not really any of my business. Ditto if Jensen announced it.
The only time I get a little bit invested in those things is when co-stars hook-up because it always bears the risk of post-breakup-awkwardness on the set like on Alias or House.
Same as people saying if it didn`t work out they lost their belief in true love. Now come on, relationships don`t work out for many reasons, even when the people are or have been very much in love. I`d find it a bit much to bother two actors you don`t know anything personal about with the expectation to hold up perfection. They`re normal people, if fans put the Stepford label of perfection on them, their beef.
Same as I don`t care about any gleeful "celebrations" over the 1000 facts how Jensen is not perfect. Did he ever claim to be? Or was that some overenthusiastic fans who turned vicious when they felt disappointed?

Me? I'm just interested in the work. The rest is none of my business.

I`ve read people already speculating on when they`ll have their first kid and how cute it will be, yadda yadda. Holy moly, they`re both young and maybe Sandy would like to work on her career for a couple more years first.

Ditto.

I know. Jensen and Jared are SOOO sweet. It makes me feel a bit bad for Sandy though. ;-)

She strikes me as the type who`d take it in the right spirit and giggle about it. :)

If fans are a little excited about it (if that's the news), then that doesn't bother me. As long as people aren't staking out their house, I don't see how a little speculating and/or squeeing hurts anyone. It's much nicer than some message boards I used to frequent, where everyone spent all their time speculating about every horrible possibility about the actors. If people want to share the joy, that's all good as far as I'm concerned. :-)
The real lives of JA and JP have never been in the way of J2 for me either. *g* They are sweet together, and it's fun to read stories about them, but, yeah...fiction. hehe

Yes, Jared announced it at a convention yesterday.

I don`t mind the squee or anything, I was just weirded out a bit by statements like "yes, finally, they announced it, thank god, I don`t know if I could have taken the waiting any longer" or the likes.
Ooooo-kay. It`s not exactly like me life`s happiness depended on it. But to each their own. :)

And if Jared announced it, I guess they don't have a problem sharing it with fans, but yeah, my own happiness in life doesn't depend on what Jared and Sandi do. I'm happy for them since, but that's it. hehe
