Wow, when was the last Indiana Jones movie? Twenty years ago? Looking at this: Indy Trailer, it might have been two to three. They either have good make-up or good camera-people but just from these scenes I would accept no major time leap in the movie. Which I presume they will do anyways and before I was also expecting it for practical reasons but now? I`d totally handwave. :)

Thanks for that link. Wow that actually looks better than I expected and so does Harrison Ford. :) The last film came out in, I think, 1989, so that's like 19 years ago. That's a long time but I'd have handwaived. Maybe not if they'd said it had only been a couple of years but if they'd said it had been 5, I'd buy it at least going by the trailer.

Me too. Indy always had a slightly scruffy look. So facially I`d buy that. I think where the time difference comes in is in closeups and especially when the head comes off. The thick brown hair just isn`t there anymore. :)

But overall I did get a little bit verklempt seeing it. The first Indy I saw was ironically "Last Crusade" and I watched it upon my first visit to England when my English was very rudimentary so I only got every seventh word or so but I loved it nonetheless. *g*

I'm pretty sure they are acknowledging the passing years. "Last Crusade" took place in the '30s, and from what I have heard, "Crystal Skull" is based in the '50s.

Yeah I expected that, especially with the son and all. But after seeing the trailer I really would buy maybe 5-10 years after "Last Crusade". Astonishing really.
