Waaaaaaah, I just read that Jensen is supposed to do a Starfury event in London next year. On the freaking weekend after the Asylum event. It isn`t announced on their website yet but that thing doesn`t get updated to frequently.

This is so unfair. Why can`t they come together? Waaaaaaah.

Starfury is a british con organizer. They are pretty professional. I went to tons of their Buffy and Angel event. And mostly they bring the actors they promised. So IF he gets announced at their site, it`s a good chance, he`ll come.

As for Asylum it depends on how big an event it is gonna be. They might not be able to afford both of them. Man, this is evil.

I say wait for it, maybe it`s just a rumor.
And if it turns out to be true, I have actually done it before. Flew to England for a weekend Con, went home, flew over the following weekend for another Con. It`s mostly cheaper than staying the week, though you could do that too. I`m fully prepared to do it again if necessary. My obsession knows no boundaries.

No way I could stay in England, I have uni in between and I think my father would kill me if I skipped classes like that...

Thing is - it's the money that worries me. I don't even know yet whether I'll be able to afford Coventry so...

And apieceofcake already posted when tickets will go on sale and it did sound like it was confirmed...

Ooops, an announcement by Sean Harry (he runs Starfury). That does look official. Man, this is unfair.

And they start seeling tickets at Serenity 3? That`s freaking next week. Man, it has gotten so complicated to order those tickets online. I would have to ask some friends who`re going to their L-Word event in November to get me one.
Man, man, man. Starfury is a pretty good organizer. So I will probably purchase a ticket just to be on the safe side. Great, how am I going to afford this. *sigh*

It's a big con, right? Damn I wanna go. Actually I think if it came down to it I'd take that one over Asylum. Not because of Jensen (well...) but because there's also other shows that appeal to me more.

But then, Jared's at Asylum and he's such a sweetheart...

It is in the Thistle Hotel London (and do I know this hotel inside out by now) which means up to 1000 people. If it`s more, Starfury moves to Blackpool.
So my best guess between 500-800 people probably.

Tickets are usually depending on the event and the guest between 65 - 85 Pounds. Best guess again would be around 70 Pounds. Maybe they will have day passes for 35 Pounds.
Unlike the Asylum thing tickets are non-refundable with Starfury. Though you can try to sell them on the "black market" if you can`t go.

Autographs (up to 4) are included, photoshoots are extra at 10 Pounds. Every actor has a panel, either alone or with somebody else on Saturday or Sunday. Friday is mostly just opening Ceremony.

If it IS a smaller event there will be a cocktail meet and greet for the first 150 or so ticket holders.

Thistle itself is kinda expensive to stay but there is a big hotel just across the street, can`t remember the name right now where we usually stayed that offered nice deals. Double room 50 Euro per person per night. Which for Heathrow Airport is crazy cheap. Oh, the Thistle is out in the airport area so nowhere near the city.
Which if you fly to that airport means no city travel. If you fly to another, price goes up.

God. I'm so... God. Actually I feel like I might start burst into tears, no kidding.

Here I was, thinking I wouldn't even be able to afford ASYLUM and now that? It's not fair. It's just not fair :-(

Well, I can give you my estimation of total price. Every Starfury con in London with flight, hotel, con and everything else, so the complete package cost me between 500-700 Euros, depending on how much I bought at the Con of course. So, if you`re gonna go sparse, I`d say 500 it is.

And I most definitely haven`t got the money to go both but two or three years ago, I learned that Eliza Dushku was coming to London like 10 days before the Con and I bookedthe stupid thing and went over there. Don`t ask how much that cost me.

For Jensen? I will rob a damn bank. I`m serious here. I will beat myself to death if I skip it.

So will I but I'm not even sure yet I can afford ASYLUM, you know? I bought the ASYLUM ticket knowing I might not be able to afford it. And now this? I just...If tickets go on sale nxt week? I don't have 70 pounds. I need to pay car insurance, and next year there's TÜV and ... oh damn. Damn.

I think they will only go on sale at the Convention next week. They do this, so people who go to their Cons get first dips for the next con. I once had ticket number 3. :)

They might not go on sale officially for a few weeks. And then I hope they fixed their online ordering because their phone ordering? Is horror. Nobody is ever there to take that order. Also tickets won`t be sent out for a few months before the event. And yoùr credit card won`t be charged until they are sent. January or February maybe.

Then it can`t be helped. I`m going over my finances right now and it looks mighty bad. But I think I still wanna purchase a ticket, just in case. I missed a couple of things in the last years and I`m still so very bitter. I`ve sworn to myself never again so I will move heaven and earth to go. If the worst comes to pass, I`d go to Jensen and not Jared. *sigh* Life sucks.

I still have some hope that now they both go to Europe and either Jensen comes to Asylum or Jared goes to the Starfury thing.
