If you want something really, really bad...

I'll say one thing about the Merlin Season Finale, despite it being an epic disappointment, unlike other shows, it didn't disappointment me in such a way that I get disgusted thinking about anything to do with the show. Instead, these last few days during my Christmas break, I have been searching out fanfic like woah. You know, fanfic that is epic and cute and where shit happens. You know, which shit I'm talking about.

The early partsof Season 4 satisfied my fannish desires so much onscreen, that I didn't find that need to look for fix-its in fics. The latter parts though? Quite the opposite.

So here be a few recs (that have undoubtedly been recced before elsewhere :)

I'm still an avid shipper of Merthur. I just wish canon would catch up (again) to the pairing that doesn't make me angry and/or sad. Or easier said: fuck the magic secret, fuck it as if it was the bottom in a very long and naughty PWP. :-P

For the last few days/weeks I've been happily immersing myself into XMFC fandom and fic and luckily, the fandom is rather prolific. I just wish people wouldn't write great and engaging 30k to 50k word stories as a WIP in comment fic. I mean why? *bangs fists* That makes it so hard to keep up with them, to save them and re-read at leisure.

I don't consider myself an entitled reader with wanting to have a specific format or some such (okay, I do personally draw the line at 8 point font white on light-coloured background and no paragraphs whatsoever) but I like to read in one piece. Now I've painstakingly copied every part of the stories into word documents so I could do that. Sigh.
