Return of the Drabbles

To get my mind back to a more Zen-place :-), I finished up my drabb-ilogy. :) For better readability, Ive condensed them all in this post.

Titel: Quid Pro Quo

Quid Pro Quo

They called themselves Mommy`s friends. But Dean knew they were evil. Always tormenting him by ruffling his hair, pinching his little cheeks and squishing him tight. Calling him "cutie" or "honeybear."
But one day Dean got something wonderful. It was small and smelly and it was called Sammy. It made them leave Dean alone because it also had wonderful rosy little cheeks. So Dean became the happiest big brother in the whole wide world.
And in return he promised Sammy to protect him from all other evil things. After all, it was only fair since Sammy had protected him first.

Back-up

Sometimes John thinks his son`s name is "Awwww" instead of "Dean."
He feels really bad for the little guy, helpless against the onslaught of Mary`s matronly friends. With their big heaving bosoms into which his poor boy is being squished.
And he winces in sympathy when a chubby little cheek is pinched repeatedly. He tried to make a break for it with the kid once. Mary was not impressed.
So Dean is on his own again and John feels ashamed because it`s the first time he left a soldier behind on the battlefield.
But then seven months later back-up arrives.

Twice blessed

Every mother thought her baby was the most beautiful of them all. Mary knew that. But was it her fault that for her, it was true? Her little Dean, her little blessing.
So she watched them. Praising him.Cuddling him. Stroking his cherubic little cheeks. Petting his soft blond hair. And she smiled as only a mother can.
John grumbled about it. Didn`t understand. Such a man.
And then seven months later, her Sammy was born.
Every mother thought her baby was the most beautiful of them all. Mary knew that. But was it her fault that she was twice blessed?


Maybe there is room for a WeeSammy and the "witches" POV. ;)

I have died of cute. Honestly, that John one, my heart was just squeezing at the thought of him leaving Dean on the battelfield, and then back-up arriving.

My favorite's gotta be John's version. It's so full of manly sympathy and military jargon which is so John and subtly integrates itself into the drabble. *thumbs up*
