astri13How can Teen Wolf 3.A and 3.B be from the same show? I didn`t hate the first part of the Season but the stories came together very badly while this second half so far rocks. Tight arc, well-paced, likeable new character. The mind it boggles.
Ironic because I tend to favour Derek and he had a far bigger role before than now but since it used to be one relentless beatdown after another, his material right now is superior in quality if not quantity. It`s not climbing a very small mountain for half an hour but then what is? *inside joke*
If I can`t have my dream of a good Derek-storyline - hey, maybe later - then I have to say I find it very rewarding to see Stiles get a Supernatural story. While the show has done a reasonably good job (compared to others) in not marginalizing the one human character in a a world of Supers too much, watching shows like this, I prefer supernaturally-themed stories and this one has potential. Not to mention Dylan O`Brian is one of their strongest actors and rocks it.
So Stiles is possessed by a dark spirit. I don`t think nogitsune. Kira was obviously a red herring since the Oni left her alone after checking. And the guy in the flashbacks who was possessed by a nogitsune - or do you have to be a kitsune in the first place for that to happen? like a dark druid still had to be a druid? - couldn`t stand up to them while Evil!Stiles pretty handily defeated them. So my best guess would be: something else.
Scott/Kira work well. So do, color me surprised, Alison/Isaac. I don`t think it`s a great love but their little romance on the side leads to quite fun scenes.
And of course there is the "will Sterek share any kind of screentime" watch going on every week. *g* I`m not rabid about it by any means and in fact would need quite something more from canon for them than I get atm to fully get into the ship. Right now my reaction does tend to go a bit on the amused "aww, again?" side.

Date: 2014-02-05 05:00 am (UTC)But I think all the relationships, new and old, work perfectly, and the storyline is great, too. And Dylan O'Brien is just so good!
Now if Derek's role would be a bit bigger, I'd be even more happy.

That`s my one cloud of unhappiness right now.
Don`t know what it is but in recent years I seem to get disappointed with shows over and over again because the characters I like aren`t the ones the writers stan for. :/
