The plot thickens...
Quick impressions of Merlin's
Indeed, that had a more epic feel to it. Budget rise, maybe? They never slaughtered this much Camelon-ians in the first two Season put together than we saw dead on the battlefield in the beginning.
I was very happy to not see Arthur and Merlin be reset like last Season but continue on with their friendship and their mean little pranks on each other. Arthur "washing" Merlin. Hee.
Also, more and more allusions to the once and future king (okay, minus the once part, for now it's just future).
Cendred looks like a cool new character.
And yes, we all saw Sir Leon barbequed at the end of last Season - and we all don't care for he is baaaaack. *pumps fist*
Slash dragon to the rescue.
One thing I was disappointed about: Morgana now being all muhahaha-evil. I like that her storyline thickens (she was hardly on last Season) and we knew from the legends where it would go but I would have liked to see her more conflicted. It is easy to believe with Uther and Merlin. her relationship with one was already tumultous and the other tried to kill her when she expected help. But what about people like Arthur and Gwen? They never did anything to her and Morgana clearly loved them once. Yet now, she looks like she would still smirk evilly if she ripped their still beating hearts from their bodies.
Oh well, can't win them all.
Nevertheless, I'm heartened by the start of the new Season. Guess with Merlin it is the opposite of SPN, odd-numbered Seasons rock.
