Supernatural

So, second new writer and I have to say much better with the characters. It's just so much more enjoyable when I don't want them to drop dead in a ditch somewhere.

Castiel and Dean sitting in a tree. KISSING... *g* I just love their dynamic and I love that the Angels see value in him despite not having any powers. Of course I have no idea what they expect from Dean down the road- and it might work out better to just tell him - but I'm loving his myth-arc this Season. That is, loving the fact that he has one. :-p

Was also glad he chose to save the town even though from the angel's POV? Bubkes. And see, the seal DID get broken. If Lucifer ever did walk free, the town would likely be lucky if Uriel had smote it.

Btw, Uriel - delightfully grumpy. I bet he dreams about kicking puppies.

Felt really bad for Sam because those Angels were so not what he expected. And he was so geeky and flustered. Then again, does noone read the bible anymore? Because the angels on the show are 100 % what I expect from angels.

Still, Sam was Linus in the rendition of the peanut special, losing his religion basically. Adored the scene between him and Dean in the car.

On the matter of "Dean did something horrible in hell", please keep it in perspective, writers. The character had an abysmal low self esteem to begin with, I'd find it annoying to really dump on that some more.

Poor Impala.

I knew from the spoilers the powers were going back and my guess is that much power was not meant for the human body and Azazel "rigged" his Psy-Kids in some way to bring his master plan about. Which probably means Sam will keep using them till he realizes what it will do to him and everybody else and then pull himself back from the brink.

Though, Uriel, maybe the "I'll smite you" approach might not be the best one. Then again, the guy seems to hold humans in such contempt, he'd probably like to smite them for jaywalking.

Two things that were of the bad.

Samhain. It's a holiday, not a dude. And it's NOT pronounced like that. My ears were bleeding all throughout.

The exposition. Yap yap yap yap. Even I as the audience member didn't need that much lecturing to, Dean as a hunter should have needed less. I kinda expect him to know a little bit about Supernatural stuff in the way I expect the doctors on House to know a little bit about medicine.

Still, all in all, a solid effort.

Squeers may proceed into the lion's den this time as I liked the episode. :)
