I don't really like the whole vampire thing (and think it's lame even on SPN),

I`ve always been a huge vampire fan. :) Or genre in general, sci-fi, fantasy, anything removed from reality. I`m a character person too and I want the characters to feel real but be in an "unreal" environment, I love that dichotomy if it`s well done.

So I would have probably checked Supernatural out just for the theme but I wouldn`t have stayed if the characters didn`t grab me. And most of my shows have ensemble casts so an all male show was something unique. I believe the last one I was really into was "Highlander" with all the yummy (and phallic :) swordfights.
