I still can't believe I'm watching Supernatural, but I think maybe I'm finally old enough to watch it. hehe
Horror was never really my thing either, X-Files was about as far as it went. Buffy on the other hand was never really horror. It was always more of a clever parody or metaphor for life. And in its hey-day it did have one of the most brilliant writing around. So far I`ve never seen another show be able to pull off that level of intensity. With Supernatural the characters are there but the plots aren`t.
DVDs and a DVR make it easier to catch up. :-)
Not to mention not having to wait weeks or months in between episodes. :)
