I loved the backstory of Finch teaching the machine. And how it tried to protect him. "Stay". Aww. The machine is like another character on the show. For a second I totally thought that was the big accident Finch was in that got his leg all busted up. Because man, talk about the ultimate irony in that situation.
When Reese was negotiating with it, I was waiting for that red light to turn on. And when it did, I totally cheered a little.
Interesting that Reese was Finch`s contigency plan. It was great when he realized early on that he was on another number-case. Before kicking ass again.
The scenes with Finch and Root were quite intense, too. She wants to "set it free" in what way? Be Skynet and take over? Because if she is right and the machine has achieved its own conscience, then that also it feels something for Finch. Not sure she is realizing that or counting that it. And I wonder what her backstory is.
Hopefully, Finch and Reese are reunited soon. I enjoy this litte mini-arc but the the show is highly intense and atmospheric as it is, I kinda need the little case-of-the-week breather episodes. Heh.
