Vampire Diaries Season 3 Finale?
Making Elena a vamp? Now that's what I call a game-changer. Still, after the last three Seasons, I think this was the only way to go for her character without becoming totally stale.
This goes thousand-fold for the love triangle. Her big "choice" her is Stefan but the reason she gives is mostly that she owes him. IDK, they have never been a couple I really shipped all that much. The scene where crazy Ripper!Stefan blackmailed Klaus by threatening to drive Elena off wickery bridge? More chemistry between them then in their romantic scenes.
Damon/Elena on the other hand? I would like to see them together but they are teetering dangerously close on the line of "oh fuck it, bring them together or not but DO it already". In fact, this Season? They already veered a couple times over the line.
Unfortunately, I think this episode painted Damon the underdog in the triangle and was supposed to introduce another "roadblock" for next Season. *groan*
Most heartbreaking moment? Damon holding a dying Alaric, crying. I know it was probably supposed to be all.about.Elena but I like to pretend at least part of it was for Ric, too.
Is Klaus really gone? Sniff. I liked Joseph Morgan in the part. And as much as I ship Klaus/Caroline, I don't want it like this.
Still, this show has guts. Compared to other CW fare, it still stands head and shoulders above them.

I just wanted to ask if you saw the interview with the showrunner where they said that even though Elena eventually becomes a vampire in the books, they were not planning to go there with her on the TV show? Yet it seems that is exactly what they did. Did I imagine that or maybe I just misread the tweet or something.
