I think after having the last three or four? episodes of Ringer sitting on my hd with no desire to watch them, I'm dropping it for good.
Also consider dropping Revenge. It's not badly written or anything but I just for the life of me can't get onboard with the main character. Again, neither badly written nor especially badly acted - though admittedly the whispery voice annoys the crap out of me - but quite frankly I understand why she sends all her previous allies packing. In theory, I totally sympathize with the vengeance plot and think those people have it coming but I don't root for Emanda personally even a little bit.
Now, if Nolan were to get an awesome revenge plot, I'd cheer him on. And I finally figured out why the actor looked so damn familiar. He played the young arrogant version of Zeddicus onLegend of the Seeker. That drove me nuts. Could have of course checked imdb out sooner. *sheepish*
Not sure if I'm going to stick with Once upon a time in the long run either. The real-world happenings are so slow-going, like molasses. So far, the fairytale segments pull me through but that is mostly to fill in gaps, not where plot progression can be happening. And some plot needs to be progressing soon already. Things only light up when Rumpelstiltskin is on.
Surprisingly, I think I will keep up with Grimm because it's pretty harmless popcorn entertainment. And I can always make fun of the pseudo-German names for the monsters. A "Bauerschwein"? *facepalm* Though I felt they did a great bit of (unintentional?) humor when the main character totally rolled his eyes on finding another "Grimm" case in his usual police case. Teehe, that would be like Clark Kent trying to write an article and, upon being interrupted by someone screaming for help, bitchily rolling his eyes and going "for fucks sake, I just wanna type".
Also planning on finishing with Terra Nova, though I wouldn't have any problems if it was just the one Season. Sure, the stories are trashy and dumb but you can pretty much watch it, laugh and then forget about it.
In terms of older shows, I'm more than okay with House ending after this Season. It's not horrifically bad or anything right now but I believe it has played itself out. And Park gets on my nerves. Lking this Season of Castle, minus the new Captain. Bones does some obnoxious things with the pregnancy, as expected. Criminal Minds? Ehm, would be okay with it coming to an end, too, see House above. Terribly behind on both NCIS.
So maybe I can de-clutter my TV-week a bit next year. We'll see.
Tonight, new Merlin. Was impossible to get teasers/spoilers for it, other than the official promo/preview so we'll see. *wibbles uneasily*
