Any of my dear flisties have experience with Africa travels?

I already decided on getting a yellow fever shot though it isn't strictly mandatory for where I'm going. Now for Malaria, I looked into a couple of travelling tips and while somehing called Malarone is widely recommend, the way of use is heavily debated. Some take it as a precautionary matter, others say "fuck precaution, hold onto it as a stand-by medicine". Obviously, you can only do one of those.

Since I'm a cautious type, I'd go for option A but then I won't have nothing left for code red scenario. Hm.
