Wow, I even forgot the Oscars were on last night until I heard about the winners this morning on my drive to work.
Gone are the days when I'd actually make myself stay up and watch them in their entirety. Probably a lot due to the fact that for the most part I have hardly seen any of the movies nominated. For some reason that used to be different in the past.
And the last host intro I watched was Chris Rock and the spiel on Gap employees - where all I can remember was rolling off my sofa laughing and hurting my hand. Which, okay, minus the hurt part means it was hilarious. *g*
Still, I'm happy for Colin Firth and Natalie Portman since they are both actors I like. And rant notwithstanding, I also like Bale so I have no problem with him winning either though Rush was really great in TKS.
Other than that, um? I'll probably check out some red carpet special later since that is often more interesting these days than the event itself.
