A good day

Man, that was a night. Initially I only wanted to take a few glimpses before going to bed but then I stayed up all through. And dear, was it so not exciting to have to stare at the little numbers boxes that said 16:3 in favour of McCain for about an hour. Though of course that more had to do with them counting the "sure either way" states early on. Pennsylvania and Ohio got big cheers at least.

But then the numbers were up to 207 for Obama and he won another swing state - Virginia? The next 13? - so it went up to 220, and everybody was just waiting for the surefire 55 from California to come in and make it real, and bare minutes later around 5:02 (my time), IT HAPPENED. 275.

I know, it went much higher afterwards, which I'm happy for, on account of there not being a recount-mumbo jumbo, but this was pretty much it. Also, did Obama get all the swing states? Or nearly all? Because that alone is saying something.

And Misha Collins is signed on for Asylum. YAY.

And most amusing bit of last night? McCain mentions Palin is "fresh young face in politics" which prompts reporter A in the studio to muse if four years down the line she might not be running again, for President.

Cut to reporter B. *blink blink* "Fuck no." Okay, he used other words but he pretty much dissuaded reporter A from that notion. *g*
