Sam sounded like a 12 years old though. Very very extremely painfully young.
What made it worse for me is that his German voice is the German voice of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels so whenever he moped about his destiny in Season 2, I closed my eyes and imagined Dean serving him some blue milk. *g*
And for the first time since I've been in Berlin, I've understood everything that had been said on TV! I think knowing the original version by heart might help... For some strange reason, I've since In My Time of Dying 4 times this summer.
Yay for total understanding. But yes, I felt the same when I started learning English and watched a movie I was very familiar with in German. It helps a lot.
