I had practically the same reaction. I loved the music, the characters left me feeling kind of meh, Will is such a carbon copy of Daniel (his recruitment included) and Chris Heyerdahl needs to eat more.
I will keep watching in the hope that it gets better, so far though, I like Poltergeist: The Legacy better.
