Loved this story, especially how you managed to balance all the different characters so well. You described Jen's angst and insecurity very, very believably by having him lash out at everyone who dared come close or even only talk to him... I could really sympathize with the resulting anger, which essentially just shows this insecurity through scathing/sarcastic remarks to anyone around and/or self-deprecating comments.
Just one little concirt: I didn't think it too convincing that - especially after two years of 'successfully' driving nearly all his friends away - it only took a few days of protective custody for Jensen to see that (at least some of his) friends still cared for him. To me that scene with Chris felt slightly forced/hurried. If he'd understood so 'fast', or, also if anyone of them really had tried to get through to him for any extended period of time this turn of events shouldn't have taken two years... or, an insight like that (for both, either Jensen, or his friends) should not have happened this fast after only a few days of forced company.
Anyway, overall I really did enjoy this fic tremendously!
