I know I'm commenting really late, but I remember loving your fic when I last read it, and now that I have a LJ account, I can finally tell you how much I enjoyed it. I don't usually read disability fic or even Hurt/Comfort most of the time, but the way your Jensen reacted to his blindness was very real and powerful, and much more convincing than a soppy sellout to h/c. The angst was very well-done, and the fact that Jensen was the rescuer rather than the rescued was refreshing. Your Jared was very sweet, and gentle and needy, which fitted in very well with the premise of the fic. I loved your Jeffrey Dean Morgan being all rough and smart and SAClike, while being gentle and kind underneath. Loved your ancillary characters too. Of course now there's a time-stamp set twenty years later in my head with Jensen as Pete Thornton of the Phoenix Foundation and Jared as Macgyver. Or maybe that's a different fic altogether. I blame Jared for playing young Macgyver in his early days.
