There are large parts on my flist totally in love with it *shakes head*
Here's what I know: VL has a gay storyline now that some people uploaded to the internet--not the entire episodes but really just the Ollian scenes. Other people wrote subtitles and thus began the story...people from all over the world began watching it. I've seen people from the US and Canada fangirling over it. (Apparently, they're now beginning to write subtitles in different languages too). And the actors get fan mail ("EVEN FROM WOMEN!" as one of them was shocked to find) from all over the world.
Also it seems that an US soap introduced a gay storyline but more or less dropped it because of some protest from Chistian groups, so the US fans get their kicks elsewhere now. THE END :D
(And the reason I know this is because I've got frogspace on my flist :)
