Uh, the demon could smash Sam into the windshield because he has no special powers to protect himself? I mean, he wouldn't have been a normal human who would have led demon armies but a powerful psychic. And now, he is not. As simple as that. And as a simple human, he can get thrown into a windshield *shrugs*
And actually, I like the theology stuff. Finally, we have some background and not just "pop, a demon is here" O.o
